The New Hampshire Association of American Mothers, Inc. is pleased to announce the winning art entries in the 2007 Cultural Arts Competition. First place winners in this annual juried competition have the opportunity to enter their work in the national American Mothers, Inc. Cultural Arts Competition. National art awards are announced at the 2007 AMI convention, to be held this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, where winning artists will share $8,000 in cash prizes. Categories in this yearly competition include art, literature, music, and instrumental.
This yearly event is a community service program offering the creative mothers of New Hampshire a place to showcase their talents. NH-AMI sponsors the exhibit/competition which was hosted this year by the Bedford Public Library. The theme of the competition and exhibit is constant and all art work and literature is required to reflect the artists interpretation of family, home, and/or motherhood. An artists awards ceremony and reception was held the last day of the exhibit, where all artists and writers were recognized. The winning first place artists were asked to comment on their work and light refreshments were served.
